Artist's Note

The inspiration for this quilt was from a photo I took of a tamarind tree at Punalu’u Bakery on Hawai’i. I could not recognize the delicious fruit from the decaying seed pods on the ground and became fascinated with the old tree. Domestic machine and hand-quilted.
